The position of self-financing tertiary education programmes in Hong Kong

Aim:

To provide participants with a big picture on the position of the self-financing education sector amongst the Hong Kong education environment and make reference to similar sector globally

Learning outcomes:

After completing this module, participants will be able to:

• Discuss the big picture of the education environment in Hong Kong
• Compare major policy issues, such as funding, education opportunities, articulation of programmes, quality assurance, etc. related to the education environment in Hong Kong with major economies
• Identify the position of the self-financing education sector amongst the Hong Kong education environment and make reference to similar sector globally
• Develop a shared understanding about the challenges facing the sector.
